There are at least 10 common myths that Europeans believe about Americans. This is due in part to our films (which most accept as reality), propaganda, and what they want to think is real- maybe because of envy, jealousy, or whatever. I fight this mentality every day. If you have any others, feel free to share them with me. I am curious.
1) All Americans are rich, loud, and snobby.
2) We only eat fast food and hardly ever cook at home.
3) Our children have no education in school.
4) We have no culture, no museums, no theater, no opera or classical music.
5) Everyone agrees with the president.
6) We are stupid. ( Because the majority of us hate to lie or deceive, this is seen as stupidity.)
7) We rest our feet on coffee tables out of laziness.
8) The entire population is obese.
9) We do not know how to multi-task at work.
10) Most American women are whores.
From the very people who claim intellectual and cultural superiority over Americans…… who’d think they’d be so damned ignorant!
